Founders Medal
The Founders' Medal recognizes contributions of Academicians who have rendered especially distinguished service to the Academy in a variety of ways: administratively increasing the performance capability of the Academy, technically contributing to the quality technical or managerial body of knowledge, or publicly enhancing its prestige.
Marcos E. J. Bertin Quality in Governance Medal
The IAQ Marcos E.J. Bertin Quality in Governance Medal recognizes exceptional contributions to the practice or development of sound principles of good governance based on application of quality-related values and methods.
Quality Sustainabilty Award
The IAQ Quality Sustainability Award, established in 2020, recognizes outstanding projects that apply the philosophy, methodologies, and tools of quality management to advance sustainable development. This award honors initiatives that successfully link quality to sustainability, fostering fact-based, results-oriented, and continuous improvement-driven approaches to creating a more sustainable future.
Riccardo Dell'Anna Doctoral Dissertation Prize
The Dr. Riccardo Dell'Anna Award honors excellence in doctoral-level research on quality management, including quality control, assurance, improvement, and total quality management. It is awarded to individuals whose dissertations make significant theoretical and practical contributions to the engineering, statistical, managerial, or behavioral foundations of quality.
Walter E. Masing Book Prize
The IAQ Walter E. Masing Book Prize honors excellence in published works that significantly advance global quality knowledge. Awarded annually, it recognizes the most noteworthy book in quality management, selected by a panel of IAQ Academicians, in memory of IAQ founder Dr. Walter E. Masing.
Yoshio Kondo Academic Research Prize
The IAQ Yoshio Kondo Academic Medal was established in 2009 to recognize sustained performance in exceptional published works by an Academician. This award honors IAQ Past Chair and Honorary Member Dr. Yoshio Kondo for his sustained contributions to the Academy and his exceptional contributions to the field of quality through extensive academic research.
